A quality assurance technician may work on any number of areas within the food and beverage industry including the manufacturing, commercial, and public sectors. Their workdays see them ensure that various products and processes meet quality standards (ISO 9000, for example). Elsewhere they may be responsible for creating and setting up new management systems to help them improve a certain product or service.

Because of increasingly high standards and government rules for food and beverage preparation, a quality assurance technician’s job is a very important one.
