One major takeaway from the report is that most food and beverage processors surveyed are experiencing at least some challenges in recruiting and retaining workers. The availability of labour is top-of-mind for many, as three-fifths think it poses a great challenge in terms of its impact on their business.
While over half claim recruitment challenges are no different compared to what they were a year ago, those who do report change overwhelmingly say recruitment challenges have increased, as opposed to decreased, during this time period.
